Review in Financieel Dagblad At saturday the 1st of september the Dutch Newspaper Financieel Dagblad published a review of the Off Screen Exhibition at Montevideo. Karin Feenstra wrote it. Here's a translation concerning my piece 'Pour des dents d'un blanc éclatant et saines', which I present there:

"Let's start with the beautiful installation form 2005 by Jeroen Diepenmaat, visual (sound) artist and musician. The image seems to originate from the Flinstones-tvshow: a record player where the bird's bill functions as a pick-up needle. The room is full of record players with stuffed birds which you can see daily in the city: a heron, a gull, a sparrow, a magpie, a Flemish jay. Their bill's rest at records from all over Europe. The blue heron makes 'Vogelstimmen unserer Heimat vol. 1' audible and the gull 'Het lied van de waterslager'.
Somewhere near a stuffed raven there's a record which says 'Rien Poortvliet about bird language and authentic bird recordings'. At a certain moment you think you can actually hear them, the call of a gull and the cry of distress of a blackbird, but in reality it's the bills that scratch the records.The strange title Pour des dents d'un blanc éclatant et saines sounds poetic, but what the viewer has to do with For shiny white and healthy teeth isn't clear. At least it's better than No title. However: It's amazing how, through powerful images such a strong memory is evoked. The same effect could be done with scent."

The exhibition can still be visited till October the 7th at Dutch Institute for MediaArt Montevideo, Amsterdam.

Radio78 at openingfestival Havenkwartier Three days of music, art and fun will celebrate the official opening of the Havenkwartier in Deventer. It will happen on Friday the 31th of august and saturday the 1st and sunday the 2nd of spetmeber. They made a very nice program with lots of things to do. There'll be workshops, lectures, music, perfomances, exhibitions, food and drinks. And at sunday the second of september Hannes van Soest and I will perform at the beach with our Radio78-show. It's going to be a very enjoyable afternoon, with lovely old tunes. We'll be playing from 17 till 19h. Location Havenkwartier, former Davobuilding at the Mr de Boerlaan. More info at Havenkwartier.

Pour des dents d'un blanc éclatant et saines at MonteVideo The Groupexhibition Off Screen -spatial soundings & silent musicalities- at MonteVideo in Amsterdam will all be about vision and sound.My piece Pour des dents d'un blanc éclatant et saines will be shown there. Other participating artists are Mark Bain, Janet Cardiff & Georges Bures Miller, Justin Bennett, Jacob Kirkegaard, Ann Lislegaard, Christian Marclay, Rä di Martino, Antonietta Peeters, Karen Russo, Michael Snow en Imogen Stidworthy. Radio78 at the elderyhouse,Arnhem Finally we 're going to play for the people we all do it for; the elderly! Saturday the 11th of August Hannes van Soest and I will be playing our 78rpmrecords at the elderlyhouse at the Kloosterstraat in Arnhem. Radio 78 will meet new friends for life there! We will perform from 15 till 17h. It's going to be a beautiful day!

Perfoming at Dif-festival I will participate in two projects during the Dif-festival in Deventer.First at Fridaynight the 15th of june at Willie. During Xavier van Wersch's Sonic Wargame I will team up with Violinplayer Anna Bakker. We will have an audiofight with three other teams. Exhiting and very funny, I hope!
At sunday the 17th of June the Conisch Collage Collaborateurs (also known as C3) will performe at Kunstenlab in Deventer. Patrick Mangnus, Mathijs Stegink and I will present a medical story about birth, deseases, joy and much more. We'll use audio, music, video performance and some theatre to guide you through the inside of the human body. It's gonna be a fine mess! More info is available at Dif-festival.

Kabaalkanaal, Deventer At Havenkwartier ( Mr de Boerlaan, Deventer) you can visit the exhinition Kabaalkanaal. There is wonderfull new work by Patrick Mangnus, Femke Teussink, Harco Rutgers, Bart Folmer en Maarten Heijkamp and others. There's also a new piece I made; 'you were right when you said everything's just dust in the wind'. The exhibition can be visited till the 17th of June. More info at Willie's site.

Jool Hul Live liverecording Jool Hul performed the 17th of May at the former GrolschBeerfabric(or what's left of it...) in Enschede. The evening was organized by Soundlab #2 during theBalenfestival.It was a great evening and the nice people of Soundlab recorded our perfomance. You can listen or download it here!

A Weblog In The Flesh, Amsterdam Eduard Bezembinder asked me to participate in an exhibition that translates his weblog Bezembinder.nl into reality.He collects all kind ofpictures of artworks on this website, and has been doing it since 2001. He has more than a 1000 artists now and at page 65 link No. 975 there are two pictures of my work 'Pour des dents d'un blanc éclatant et saines'. At galerie Zoete Broodjes one of the recordplayers will be showed, together with artpieces of other artists. Opening is at friday 1st of June from 20.00 till 23.00. The exhibition can be visited till 6th of July at galerie Zoete Broodjes, Witte de Withstraat 89, Amsterdam.

Pour des dents d'un blanc éclatant et saines in New York Invited by Gigantic Art Space and Free103point9 in New York I'll exhibit two birds from the Pour des dents d'un blanc éclatant et saines -installation.
